Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

  1. The Lusaka Conference Personal Ministries Director wishes to remind all churches that we are in the period of crusades and therefore let us learn to move together as a united front in the unity of spirit and purpose. Let there be no programs in our churches such as building promotions, rallies etc. every program from now to November should be evangelistic in nature such as; community service guest days that lead to Baptism, weeks of prayer that lead to baptism and crusades. Let each church and company do their crusades.
  1. The number of sites for crusades in the District has increased from 3 – 4 and all starting at the same time as shown below.
  • (i) Kalingalinga Primary School Grounds starting tomorrow Sunday 28th September – 18th October 2014. Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Executive (Pass E. Shimunzhila, Pass G. Naini & Pastor S. Chabala).
  • (ii)Mahathi Maghandi Primary School Grounds starting tomorrow 28th September to 11th October 2014. Main Speaker: Elder Jorice Dimingo from Lusaka Conference Youth Wing.
  • (iii)  Ibex Hill Community School grounds starting tomorrow Sunday 28th – 25th October 2014 (4weeks). Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Directors (Pastors H. Mulendema Senior, F.Shangala, H. Hamweene and M. Chibala)
  • (iv) Valley Of Hope Academy by Dorcas Federation & District Evangelism. Main Speaker will be Evangelist Kelvin Chibomba from Avondale SDA. Second Speaker Evangelist S. Chiwasa and third Speaker will be Evangelist P. Sililo.

All town churches beginning from Valley View company in the far east up to Mass Media at the furthest on the western part have been assigned to a particular crusade. Elders and PM Leaders ensure that the church members go flat out in supporting these evangelistic meetings.

  1. All Elders, PM Leaders and crusade committees for the Ibex Hill Community School crusade (Mtendere South, Mount Olives, Mount Nebo and Chitukuko ) to meet at Chitukuko SDA Church today Sabbath 27/09/14 at 14:00hrs without fail.
  1. The CPC and District Council which were scheduled to take place tomorrow Sunday 28th of September 2014 have been moved to Sunday 5th October 2014 in order to allow smooth commencement of the 4 crusades that are starting tomorrow Sunday 28/09/14. We hope and believe that all Churches have handed in all their quarter ending reports to Mtendere Main Janitor. All District Departmental Heads must ensure that their quarter ending reports are ready by Monday 29/09/14 and submit them to the District Evangelism Leader Elder Patrick Sililo by this very date.
  1. There will be Path Finder and Adventures progressive class exams at Mass Media Church on Sunday 5th October 2014 at 08hrs. The investure will be held at Hellen Kaunda Church on 8th October 2014.
  1. The Ambassador SOP camp which was scheduled to take place at Kings Highway School from 12 – 14th September 2014 has been moved to 31st Oct - 1st November 2014. Participation fee still remains K80.00 per participant.
  1. This serves to inform you that there will be a Youth Conference Rally which will start on 24th to 26th October 2014.
  1. There will be an AMO rally to be held from 26th October to 1st November 2014.
  1. Lusaka Conference Stewardship Department will be conducting an Entrepreneurship program on Sunday 5/10/14 at Chainama SDA Church starting at 09:00hrs. To attend are both Church members and non Church members.

9. There will be a meeting for all the professional teachers/Lectures on Sunday, 28th September, at Libala SDA Church from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs. (one of the Agenda is to choose the Lusaka Conference Executive Committees in their categories )

10. This is to remind all churches and musicians that the Lusaka Conference Music Campmeeting will take place from 5th – 11th October, 2014 at Muluse camp site. Each participant should pay K70 camp fee and the initial deadline passed, but a grace period up to 30th September is now available.

11. The Lusaka Conference Executive Secretary is reminding all churches that every official communication from a recognized local church in Lusaka Conference MUST be signed by at least two local Church Administrators. This includes but not limited to the following;

 

(i)                 Service request

(ii)               Notice of church action on a member’s status

(iii)             Introductory letter

(iv)             Banns of marriage

Please note that wherever practicable and provided for, the District/Church Pastor should sign as well.
