Sabbath 15th March 2014 Announcements
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
1. There will be a zone camp meeting council tomorrow Sunday 16th March 2014 at Muluse starting at 09:00hrs. To attend are, all camp meeting chairpersons, company Leaders, Elders in Charge, Administrative Elders and all Zone Camp meeting council members. Please ensure that you attend this important meeting which is the first one this year and may involve elections.
2. In view of the above meeting the Pastors’ office is requesting all churches to shift their Church Boards and business meetings to next week Sunday 23rd March 2014 and the District Departmental councils to Wednesday 26th March 2014 at 17:00hrs.
3. Sabbath the 15/03/14 is music promotion day in all Churches members are urged to support the program.
4. All Churches to submit the list of candidates to be baptized next Sabbath 22/03/14 to the District Secretariat by Thursday 20/03/14 this week. And be reminded that the venue for baptism will be Mtendere Main Church.
5. Money for Great Hope Books to be deposited together with trust funds clearly indicating “Great Hope”
6. All Admin Elders to send money for the Magazines (New Dawn) to the District Treasurer Elder Sibindi.
7. There will be a Pathfinder skills camp starting on 27th April 2014 at Kyindu primary school in Palabana. Fees are K100 per person, registration is K40.00 and the deadline for registration 18/04/14.
8. The Adventist week of prayer begins March 15th and will end next Sabbath the 22nd of March in all Churches. Preachers have already been assigned.
9. There will be a Youth council meeting tomorrow Sunday 16/03/14 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 10:00hrs. The Executive meeting will commence at 08hrs. All to be in uniform.
10. The Adventist Youth Federation will, on Monday 17th March, begin running free tuitions for grades 10, 11 and 12 at Mtendere South SDA Church. The schedules shall be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 16hrs -1745. On Sundays, classes will begin at 08hrs.
11. There will also be a Youth Missionary Camp in Kyindu commencing on 9 to 18th May. Missionary volunteers are encouraged to register their interests to attend with the Youth Secretary.
12. All Churches who are running schools beginning from Nursery to Grade 12 to contact Brother S. Mutakwa (Dist Sec) for details to be send to the Conference.
13. All Churches to prepare monthly Evangelism reports and report how they are using their Sabbath school action units and submit by the 30th of every month to the Pastors Office.
14. This serves to remind all Church Clerks and Admin Elders that the Conference Secretariat provided all the Churches with the software for uploading the new Church Membership System (CMS) during the interdepartmental seminars early this year at Chainama. By the end of this quarter all churches will be expected to report on the progress of uploading names to this system.
15. On a sad note the Pastor and his executive convey their sincere condolences to the family, Mass Media Church and the District on the death of District Assistance Family Life Leader Elder Everson Hatobela on Monday 10/03/14 and was put to rest on 12/03/14. May the Lord bless all churches and individual members who offered both moral and physical support. Let us remember to continue praying for the family.
