DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FEBRUARY 2014 EVENTS

  1. There will be Mass Baptism on March 22, 2014. All churches to prepare for this event.

 

  1. Money for Great Hope Books to be deposited together with trust funds clearly indicating “Great Hope”

 

  1. Health Expo which was supposed to take place on March 8, 2014 has been moved to April 6, 2014.

 

  1. There will be a Pathfinder fair preparation programme at Mass Media Church tomorrow Sunday February 23, 2014 from 08hrs to 16Hrs. All Pathfinders to be in uniform with parked lunch.

 

  1. All Admin Elders to send money for the Magazines (New Dawn) to the District Treasurer Elder Sibindi.

 

  1. Choir Rotation to Mark the end of Stewardship Month (February 22, 2014) is as follows:

(1) Kings Royal chords will be going to Mtendere Main

(2) Beulah land choir will be going to Valley View Company

(3) Joy bells will be going to Palabana

(4) Remnant vocals will be going to Kalingalinga

(5) Harvesters will be going to mass media

(6) Kings Choir will be going to Mtendere south

(7) Valley view will be going to Mtendere east

(8) Heavenly bound choir will be going to MT Olives

(9) MT Olives choir   will be going to Mtendere central

(10) Mtendere male chorus will be going to Damascus

(11) Mtendere central choir will be going to Kitana

(12) Blessed hope will be going to Mapili Company

(13) Soul Stirrers will be going to Helen Kaunda

(14) Valley view youth choir will be going to kyundu company

(15) Omega Hope will be going to Chitukuko

 

  1. There will be a meeting for all local Health Committees at Mtendere main tomorrow Sunday February 23, 2014 at 09hrs.

 

  1.  There will be a Lusaka Conference Music Seminar at Libala SDA Church on 12th March 2014 from 08hrs.

 

  1. There will be a Spirit of Prophecy seminar at Mtendere Main SDA on 23 February, 2014. The local church SOP leaders and elders-in-charge must attend the seminar. Church members are also invited to attend the meeting. The seminar will start at 08:00hrs & end at 13:00hrs.

 

  1. All Churches to prepare monthly Evangelism reports and report how they are using their Sabbath school action units and submit by the 30th of every month to the Pastors Office.
  2. The Pathfinder Camporee will be held in Livingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). The District Executive would like to hear from the churches the preparation made so far for our Pathfinders to attend this grand event.

 

  1.  There will be SID AMO rally in Zimbabwe (Solusi) from April 1 - 5, 2014. Payments are as      follows

                        - Registration = US dollar 55 per person

                        - Accommodation = US dollar 22

                        - Meals = US dollar 6 per meal (3meals a day ×6 =18×5days = 90 US dollars

            The deadline for payment of registration fee is 28th February 2014.

  1. There will be an SID Children's Ministries Leaders Convention from 12 - 15 March,2014 at Birchood Hotel in Johannesberg, South Africa. Registration fee is R3 000 (K1 800) for full board (hotel conference & meals) and R2,000 (1,150) for conference and meals only. Transport to and from Johannsberg is at the participant's expense. Deadline for registration is 31January, 2014. Those who will register after January 31 will be required to pay (late registration which is R4, 000. Those required to attend are;

                         (i) Children Ministries Leaders

                        (ii)Children's Sabbath school Leaders

                        (iii) Sabbath School Leaders

                        (iv) Pathfinder Leaders

                        (v) Adventurer Leaders

                        (vi) Family Life Leaders

                        (vii) Parents

            Those who wish to attend should communicate to LC Children Ministries Leader.

Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Admin            elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches        as soon as possible.  This announcement has been running for some months now and            no response so far.
