DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SABBATH December 14, 2013

  1. All Churches who wish to carryout church officers evaluation (officers ‘performance) or to add or make replacement for 2014 to please inform the District Secretariat before conducting such a program.

 

  1. Today Sabbath the 14h of December 2013 is Health emphasis day in all Churches with the exception of Mass Media who are hosting a Path Finder Investure ceremony.

 

  1. The AMO outing to Kalimba Farm has been postponed to next year 2014.

 

  1. 2014 has been declared as the year of Evangelism and each Church is urged to begin spiritual preparations as you await details on how the program shall be conducted.

 

  1. There will be a prayer conference on 25th December 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting from 09:00hours to 16hours. All are welcome and come with packed lunch.

 

  1. There will be a Youth council on Wednesday 18th December 2013 at Mtendere main church at 16hors. All those going to the ecamp should be in attendance.

 

  1. The Youth end of year camp in Livingstone will start next Sunday 22nd December 2013. Please ensure that all members are fully paid for by tomorrow, 15th December.

 

  1. The Zambia Union Conference Festival of the laity will be held next year, June 24 - 28, 2014. The venue is Mulungushi International Conference Centre. Details are as follows; Registration fee is K1000 (includes lunch and dinner for 4days) As for breakfast delegates will be feeding from their respective lodging places. For the delegates who will not need lunch and dinner will be required to pay K600.00 as their registration fee. The deadline for registration fee payment is 28 February' 2014.

            Accomodation see the attached list with your Elders.

 

   9. There will SID AMO rally in Zimbabwe (Solusi) from April 1 - 5, 2014. Payments are                    as follows

                        - Registration = US dollar 55 per person

                        - Accomodation = US dollar 22

                        - Meals = US dollar 6 per meal (3meals a day ×6 =18×5days = 90 US dollars

            The deadline for payment of registration fee is 28th January 28th 2014.

 

10.       The ZBUC school of Evangelism will take place from February 24 - March 2 2014 at          Andrews motel in Lusaka. payments are as follows

                        - Registration  fee : K100

                        - Accommodation: K950.00 sharing for the whole week and single occupancy (one                    person in a room) is K250 per night.

                        - Meals K1,300.00

            The deadline for the registration fee is January 20, 2014.

            please note that those who may wish to look for their own accomodation can do so but      they should let let us know'

 

11.       There will be an SID Children's ministries Leaders Convention from 12 - 15 March,            2014 at Birchood Hotel in Johannesberg, South Africa. Registration fee is R3 000 (K1            800) for full board (hotel conference & meals) and R2,000 (1,150) for conference and meals only.   Transport to and from Johannsberg is at the participant's expense.   Deadline for registration is 31January, 2014. Those who will register after January 31 will   be required to pay (late registration which is R4, 000. Those required to attend are;

                         (i) Children Ministries Leaders

                        (ii)Children's Sabbath school Leaders

                        (iii) Sabbath School Leaders

                        (iv) Pathfinder Leaders

                        (v) Adventurer Leaders

                        (vi) Family Life Leaders

                        (vii) Parents

            Those who wish to attend should communicate to LC Children Ministries Leader.

 

 

12. All Churches to conduct membership audit before 16th December 2013. The Audit should   produce three lists of membership as follows;

(i)              The General register with all or total membership whether present or missing.

(ii)            The list or record of all members presents including those who may not be worshiping at your Church but you know where they are.

(iii)          The list or record of all members who have gone missing

This information should reach the District secretariat by 16th December, 2013.

 

 

13.LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com  for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible.  This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far. Some churches have so far submitted, if you haven’t done so, please do as soon as possible.
