DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SABBATH NOVEMBER 23, 2013
1. All those who were baptised last year and this year who do not have Bibles including other Church members who can not afford to buy their own Bibles should submit their names and phone numbers to the pastor through their Elders today Sabbath 23/11/13 by 17hrs. Please be reminded that today is the deadline and all the churches which won't submitt by today will loose out. Collect you Great Hope books on Monday 25/11/13 at 17hrs
2. All Churches who wish to carryout church officers evaluation (officers ‘performance) or to add or make replacement for 2014 to please inform the District Secretariat before conducting such a program.
3. There will be a VOP graduation ceremony today Sabbath 23/11/13 at Mtenere Main to be graced by Pastor Siamaundu and the VOP team from the Union Office. All churches that have candidates to support this program by sending their candidates for graduation to Mtendere Main accompanied by Representatives.
4. The AMO outing to Kalimba Farm which was scheduled to take place on 24th November 2013 has now been moved to 15th December 2013 due to a crash with the Conference program. The participation fee of K60.00 and venue remain the same.
5. All Adventist Youth Leaders are requested to meet the Youth President at Hellen Kaunda Church plot on Sunday the 24th of November 2013 at 10.00hrs and come along with all camp registration forms. Please observe time.
6. There will be Pathfinder Exams tomorrow Sunday 24th November 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 09:00hrs. All Master Guides to be present.
7. The Ambassadors of Christ Choir from Rwanda comes to Zambia to hold gospel concerts from 30th November to 2nd December 2013. The venues are as follows; Blessing Centre (Bread of Life Auditorium) date 30/11/13 time 18:00hrs – 22:00hrs, Charges K120, K100 & K50. Levy Mwanawasa Stadium (Copper belt) date 1/12/13 time 14:00hrs – 17:00hrs, Charges K120 all round. Government complex Date 2/12/13, time: 17:30hrs – 21:30hrs. Charges K150 all round.

7. There will be a ZBUC ASI (Adventist Laymen’s Services and Industries) Annual Convention on 28th November to 1st December, 2013 at Mulungushi International Centre.

8. There will be a meeting for all Dorcas workers, all Adventist Men Organization (AMO) and all Lay Preachers tomorrow Sunday 24th November, 2013 at Libala SDA Church at 08:30hrs to prepare for the 2014 ZBUC Festival of the Laity.
9. There will be a Conference Music Council meeting at Libala Church tomorrow 24th November 2013 at 09:00hrs. Conference executive members, sub-committee members and district Music l eaders (2013 and 2014 officers) are expected to attend.
10. There will be a seminar for all Sabbath School Superintendents, Secretaries, all Sabbath School teachers and Elders in charge at Libala SDA Church on 1st of December 2013 from 08:30 – 13:00hrs.
11. The Literature Evangelism training continues tomorrow at NRDC Church. Time is 08:00hrs.
12. All Churches to conduct membership audit before 16th December 2013. The Audit should produce three lists of membership as follows;
(i) The General register with all or total membership whether present or missing.
(ii) The list or record of all members presents including those who may not be worshiping at your Church but you know where they are.
(iii) The list or record of all members who have gone missing
This information should reach the District secretariat by 16th December, 2013.
13. LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible. This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far. If you cannot use the email address as indicated above, you can SMS or send the figures through 0966/0955 – 598387
