Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

  1. There will be a District Elders Board on Tuesday 19th November 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 17:30hrs. All serving Elders to attend without fail.

  1. All Churches who wish to carryout church officers evaluation (officers ‘performance) or to add or make replacement for 2014 to please inform the District Secretariat before conducting such a program.

  1. All Churches should send a list of all Lay Evangelists (Speakers) in regular standing to the Evangelism Committee (Eld Sililo or Eld Muvwanga or the Elder In charge Eld S. Mutakwa.

  1. There will be an AMO outing to Kalimba Farm on 24th November 2013. Each participant to pay K60.00. All AMO members are urged to pay and go for socialization.

  1. There will be a Dorcas Council on Wednesday 20th November 2013 at Mtendere Main SDA Church beginning at 14hours. All Dorcas workers to attend.

 

  1. All the Churches that haven’t submitted the registration forms for the Adventist Youth end of year camp to please submit the forms to the Planning Chairman before 24/11/13.

  1. There will be Pathfinder Exams on Sunday 24th November 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 08:00hrs to 15:00hrs. The examination fee is K7:00 per person.

  1. Lusaka East Mission District is expected to collect 5000 GREAT HOPE BOOKS from the Conference to be shared among the Churches for members to buy at a fee of only K2.50 per copy. Elders are therefore advised to heavily promote these books beginning today.

  1. Churches which haven’t done or renewed their registration with the Registrar of Societies particularly after the change of Leadership after the last elections to contact the District Secretariat today Sabbath.

  1. There will be a ZBUC ASI (Adventist Laymen’s Services and Industries) Annual Convention on 28th November to 1st December, 2013 at Mulungushi International Centre.

  1. There will be a meeting for all Dorcas workers, all Adventist Men Organization (AMO) and all Lay Preachers on 24th November, 2013 at Libala SDA Church at 08:30hrs to prepare for the 2014 ZBUC Festival of the Laity.

 

  1. (i) There will be a meeting for the Conference Music Executive Committee Members at

Libala Church on 17th November 2013 starting 09:00hrs.

(ii) There will be a Conference Music Council meeting at Libala Church on 24th November

2013 at 09:00hrs. Conference executive members, sub-committee members and district

Music leaders (2013 and 2014 officers) are expected to attend.

 

  1. There will be a seminar for all Sabbath School Superintendents, Secretaries, all Sabbath School teachers and Elders in charge at Libala SDA Church on 1st of December 2013 from 08:30 – 13:00hrs.

 

  1. The Literature Evangelism training began last Sunday at NRDC Church and it will continue tomorrow 16th and 24th November 2013. Starting time is 08:00hrs.

 

  1. All Churches to conduct membership audit before 16th December 2013. The Audit should produce three lists of membership as follows;

  1. The General register with all or total membership whether present or missing.

  2. The list or record of all members presents including those who may not be worshiping at your Church but you know where they are.

  3. The list or record of all members who have gone missing

This information should reach the District secretariat by 16th December, 2013.

  1. LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible. This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far. If you cannot use the email address as indicated above, you can SMS or send the figures through 0966/0955 – 598387

Some churches have so far submitted, if you haven’t done so, please do as soon as possible.
