Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
1. There will be Zone One Dorcas Elections on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Libala SDA Church from 09:00hrs to 12:00hrs. These elections will divide the big Zone One into two – Zone One A and Zone One B. All Dorcas society members should attend without fail.
2. All Lusaka East Mission singing groups should begin to prepare for the inter district Music rotation with Kanyama Mission on the 2nd of November 2013. Remember you are also expected to go with your own speakers.
3. There will be a Youth Music fellowship on Sunday 13th October 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting from 08:00hrs to 16:30hrs. All Youth choirs to come without fail. The participation fee is K 100.00 per choir and to be paid by 12th October 2013.
4. The Adventurers day which was scheduled to take place on 5th October 2013 has been moved to Sabbath 19th October 2013. All Adventurer Directors are therefore advised to commence preparations.
5. There will be an Adventurers fun day on Sunday 20th October 2013 at Dream Valley from 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs. Charges are K35.00 per participant and all to carry packed lunch.
6. There will be a Pathfinder council on Sunday 29/09/13 at Mtendere South Church starting at 09:00hrs. All Pathfinder Directors from local churches to attend in uniform.
7. The Pastor’s office is urging all Churches to be conducting vespers on Wednesday in homes and Friday at church.
8. Today is Sabbath School Guest day in all Churches.
9. Final publication of this announcement. The Conference has received the following materials for Sabbath School and Personal Ministries from SID.

(iv) Personal Witnessing - K13.50

(x) Principles of Church Growth - K13.50
These books above are costing K130.00 in all. Every church, company and branch must have a set of all these books for effective witnessing. Please each church, company and branch must send paid up orders to the Lusaka Conference Personal Ministries Secretary Sr Mervis Shanyinde , or may pay directly to her office. All Elders and Company Leaders and members at large must buy their own personal copies.
10. Elders keep promoting the camporee. This serves to inform and remind you that the 2nd SID Pathfinder Camporee will be held in Livingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). All the Leaders and Pathfinders should begin now to plan to attend without fail. Be advised that our young people in Zambia do not need to pay in US Dollars but kwacha. The fixed registration fee is K435.00. Please take note of the details that were attached to last week’s announcements; and the deadlines specified. For those wishing to have their registration deducted from the office, kindly pass through our Departmental office and log into the 2014 SID Camporee registration fee deduction authorization sheet.
11. There will be an end of year youth camp from 22nd - 29th December 2013 to be held in Livingstone. Churches are urged to promote this event and at least sponsor 2 youths. Participation fee is K320.00 which includes transport, food, accommodation and registration.
12.The Lusaka Conference sponsored crusade which is being hosted by Chitukuko church with its company Valley View and Mtendere East church with its company Mount Olives (venue: Ibex Hill Community Grounds) will on Sunday 29/09/13 be entering the 3rd and final week ending with baptism at Mtendere Main Church on Sabbath 5/10/2013. Churches that have candidates for baptism please prepare them before the above mentioned date. Speakers are Dr Edwin Shimunzhila (Lusaka Conference President), Pastor Goliath Naini (Lusaka Conference Executive Secretary) and Elder Isaac Kaputo (Lusaka Conference Chief Financial Officer). Theme: BIBLE SPEAKS. All the Churches are asked to attend and support this evangelist program. Remember to bring one member as the divisional theme reads “One Member One Soul”.
13. LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated
