DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR September 2013 EVENTS
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
1. A reminder to all Churches to prepare a full set of reports as the quarter is coming to an end.
2. There will be a Lay preachers’ meeting tomorrow Sunday 08/09/13 at Libala starting 09 hours. All Lay preachers to attend and carry packed lunch.
3. The following organisations will be coming to Lusaka East at Mtendere Main SDA Church next Wednesday 11th of September 2013 from 08 - 17 hrs. to conduct free services to our District and the general public. (a) Lands Tribunal, (b) CCPC, (c) Human Rights Commission (d) National Legal Aid Clinic for Women. The services will include Lands Tribunal issues, human rights issues, women related issues and many more. Please take advantage of this day and get the free services. Remember its open to everyone.
4. All crusade committee members (from Mt East, Chitukuko, V/View and Mt Olive) for the upcoming September Conference crusade to meet at Kitana Private School today Sabbath 7/09/13 at 14:00hrs. Please observe time.
5. Emphasize this announcement. The Conference has received the following materials for Sabbath School and Personal Ministries from SID.
(i) Keys to Sermon preparations - K12.00
(ii) Reclaiming missing members - K12.00
(iii) Prison Ministries - K12.00
(iv) Personal Witnessing - K13.50
(v) Small Group Ministries - K13.50
(vi) Sabbath School Teacher - K12,00
(vii) Methods of Door to Door Visitation - K13.50
(viii) Personal Ministries Leader - K13.50
(ix) Adventist Community Services - K14.50
(x) Principles of Church Growth - K13.50
These books above are costing K130.00 in all. Every church, company and branch must have a set of all these books for effective witnessing. Please each church, company and branch must send paid up orders to the Lusaka Conference Personal Ministries Secretary Sr. Mervis Shanyinde, or may pay directly to her office. All Elders and Company Leaders and members at large must buy their own personal copies.
6. The Zambia Union Personal Ministries Office demands to have your baptisms reported as follows
(a) Church -number of baptized
(b) Company – number of baptized
(c) Branch – number of baptized

Please your September report should indicate the information as tabulated above.
7. Elders make an emphasis on this announcement. This serves to inform and remind you that the 2nd SID Pathfinder Camporee will be held in Livingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). All the Leaders and Pathfinders should begin now to plan to attend without fail. Be advised that our young people in Zambia do not need to pay in US Dollars but kwacha. The fixed registration fee is K435.00. Please take note of the details that were attached to last week’s announcements; and the deadlines specified. For those wishing to have their registration deducted from the office, kindly pass through our Departmental office and log into the 2014 SID Camporee registration fee deduction authorization sheet.
8. This is to remind churches that the Sabbath countings for the 2nd Sabbath of the quarter (Sabbath School and main service countings have not reached the district Secretariat from most of you churches). Please forward this information to avoid late reporting.
9. The family life week of prayer comes to an end today Sabbath with a family programme.
10. LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated
Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible. This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far.
