Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1. The Pathfinder drill team with their directors will be meeting on Sunday 21st July 2013 at Kitana school grounds from 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs
2. Churches are being advised to carry out adequate Camp meeting sensitizations to their members (physical and moral preparations) to ensure that they attend the annual feast. The dates are from 18 – 24th August 2013. Speakers and theme as earlier announced in all churches.
3. All Churches to submit copies of their Insurance Cover with the Pastors Office. (Note that this is a requirement for any Group/ Department travelling out).
4. There will be Literature Evangelism Training at Mtendere Main Church this Sunday 21/07/2013 and the next Sunday 28/07/2013 from 09hrs to 16hrs. Participants to come with own parked lunch. Churches can approve individuals who want to join literature Ministries and send the names to Sister Brenda Kangololo the District Leader.
5. The information about the General Conference Church membership audit should have been submitted to the Secretariat last Sabbath by 17:00hrs but no single Church has done so. The Secretariat would like to know why this information cannot be submitted.
6. Attention Admin Elders and Church Clerks: Next Sabbath 27th July 2013 Elder Bernard Tembo (Ass Dist Secretary) will be going round all Churches to collect minutes of the Board and Business meetings from January 2013 to date. All Churches that have not submitted these minutes to make them ready by the said date.
7. The District crusade started on the 7th July and is going on up to the 28th of July 2013 at Kalingalinga primary school grounds. The theme is “Christ our only hope”, the Main Speaker is Evangelist Aswell Kalela (District Pastor) and the second Speaker is Evangelist Brian Malambo. Members are being advised to invite people and attend the crusade and be also informed that there will be a baptism on the 27th of July 2013.
8. The Seventh-day Adventist Church considers reporting as a serious matter and Secretariat has attached a copy of Lusaka Conference quarterly report checklist for each church to print and ensure that at the end of every quarter each Church submits all the reports where there is a tick in the checklist. All reports should be made on Lusaka Conference report forms and do not get any CZC report forms and then type and print your copy because some Lusaka Conference report forms have some difference with the former CZC. The office of the Pastor will not accept any excuse from any Church or District departmental Head for not reporting correctly.
9. The Lusaka Conference family evangelism launch takes place on Sabbath 20th July 2013 at Andrews’s motel from 08 – 16hrs. We hope each Church paid for the family life Leader and the Elder in charge to represent them.
10. The Muluse Zone Camp meeting Council meeting will take place on Sunday the 28th July 2013 at Muluse starting at 08:00hrs. All Admin and Elders in charge, District Camp meeting Chairpersons and Zone subcommittee Camp meeting members to attend without fail.
11. There will be a Children’s Week of Prayer from 21st – 27th July 2013 in all Churches. This also means that Sabbath the 27th of July will be children’s day. Elders ensure that the children are accorded this slot and also be involved to their maximum potential during this period. Each Church should choose its own child preacher and forward the name to the Secretariat today Sabbath before 14:00hrs. Material for the same will be given to all Churches.
12. LEMD churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated
