13th July 2013 Announcements
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1. There will be a district youth council on Sunday 14th July 2013 at M’tendere main SDA Church at 10:00hrs. All to be in uniforms.
2. Churches are being advised to carry out adequate Camp meeting sensitizations to their members (physical and moral preparations) to ensure that they attend the annual feast. The dates are from 18 – 24th August 2013. Speakers and theme as earlier announced in all churches.
3. The General Conference has requested us to audit our church membership. All churches should do serious roll calls this June. At the end of this quarter June 30th 2013 we need two figures of membership per church. One which will reflect before roll call; and this is the one to be put on regular statistical report, another, an audited one showing only physically present members. We want to assess the disparity. This information should be forwarded to the Secretariat on Sabbath 13/07/13 by 17:00hrs without fail.
4. The Spirit of Prophecy week of prayer which started last Sunday comes to an end on 12/07/13.
5. The District crusade started last Sunday 7th July and is going on up to the 20th of July 2013 at Kalingalinga primary school grounds. The theme is “Christ our only hope”, the Main Speaker is Evangelist Aswell Kalela (District Pastor) and the second Speaker is Evangelist Brian Malambo. Members are being advised to invite people and attend the crusade.
6. The Seventh-day Adventist Church considers reporting as a serious matter and Secretariat has attached a copy of Lusaka Conference quarterly report checklist for each church to print and ensure that at the end of every quarter each Church submits all the reports where there is a tick in the checklist. All reports should be made on Lusaka Conference report forms and do get any CZC report forms and then type and print your copy because some Lusaka Conference report forms have some difference with the former CZC. The office of the Pastor will not accept any excuse from any Church or District departmental Head for not reporting correctly.
7. All couples are invited for the family evangelism launch on 20th July 2013 at Andrews’s motel from 08 – 16hrs. Each couple should pay K120.00 and payments must be made through your family life leaders or the conference. First come first serve basis.
8. There will be a short meeting for all Family Life Leaders on Sunday 14/07/13 at Libala SDA Church starting at 08:00 – 09:00hrs to prepare for the Family evangelism launch.
9. All Sabbath School officers and all teachers, all personal Ministries leaders, Secretaries and Elders in charge of both Personal Ministries and Sabbath School to attend the 1st Conference evaluations on Sunday 14th July 2013 at Libala SDA starting at 09:00hrs – 12:30hrs.
10. There will be an inter District choir rotation day and the district is blessed with choirs from Kanyama Mission District. We urge all Church members to support the program.
11. There will be a Children’s Week of Prayer from 21st – 27th July 2013 in all Churches. Elders ensure that the children are accorded this slot and also be involved to their maximum potential during this period. Material for the same will be given to all Churches.
