      Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  

  1. In view of last Sunday camp meeting council where it was observed that there was little time remaining before the camp meeting begins, churches are being advised to carry out adequate senstisation to their members (physical and moral preparations) to ensure that they attend the annual feast. The dates are from 18 – 24th August 2013. Speakers and theme as earlier announced in all churches.
  2. All Churches to submit copies of their Insurance Cover with the Pastors Office. (Note that this is a requirement for any Group/ Department travelling out).
  3. The Pastor’s appreciation program will take place on Sabbath 22/06/2013 at M’tendere main SDA Church. The Lusaka Conference Ministerial Director (Ps. Silas Chabala) is expected to conduct the program. All churches are requested to send representatives with their gifts and all members are free to attend
  4. The month of June has been declared as a month of stewardship. Churches are therefore being asked to ensure that all the programs that are conducted on the Sabbath involve stewardship. At the end of the month a report will be required from each church. NOTE: Stewardship leaders and elders in charge will be required to produce a report at the end of June concerning this program.
  5. Sabbath 22/06/13 is Master Guide day in all churches. Theme and theme song: Faith of our fathers.  Preachers have been assigned. Please support the program
  6. There will be a Lay preachers’ convention from 28th June 2013 to 1st July 2013 at Chilongolo. Participants to carry with them beddings, cups, plates and good sermons. Participation fee is Kr 70.00 and to be paid at conference offices
  7. Collection of paid up orders for the third and fourth quarter study guides to be done at anchor house. Those who did not make orders to go and buy their copies from ZAP at Lusaka house.
  8. The Sabbath School and personal ministries evaluation will take place on 30th June 2013. All evaluation papers to be in the office of the Director by 20th June 2013. Note: The district secretariat distributed to all churches through the elders the PM and Sabbath School evaluation instruments and hopes that the elders submitted them by the required date mentioned above.
  9. There will be Trust Services day on 29th June 2013 in all churches.
  10. The dates for the AMO rally are 27th June to 2nd July 2013 and not 23rd to 29th June 2013 as earlier announced. All AMO members are therefore urged to attend as this shall be during the four (4) days holiday.
  11. The zone one (1) Dorcas rally shall take place from the 30th of June 2013 to 7th July 2013 at Chalimbana. All Dorcas members are urged to attend.
  12. The District departmental Councils which were scheduled to take place on Sunday 23rd June 2013 shall now take place on Friday 28th June 2013 at M’tendere main starting at 08:30hrs. Please elders ensure that your members attend the councils and all reports should be handed over to the district PM by Tuesday 25th June 2013.
  13.  The CPC and District Council scheduled for 30th June 2013 has been moved to Sunday the 7th of July 2013, to be held at Kalingalinga Church starting at 08:30hrs and the council at 14:00hrs respectively. We deeply regret the inconvenience these changes have caused.  
  14. The Venue for the Music Camp meeting has been moved from Mundengwa to Muluse. The camp starts on 30/06/13 to 07/07/13. The fees and other requirements remain as earlier announced.
  15. There will be a Youth Executive meeting at 08:00hrs and Youth council at 10:00hrs at M’tendere main on 23rd June 2013. Please be in uniform as you attend these meetings and attend without fail.
  16. The General Conference has requested us to audit our church membership. All churches should do serious roll calls this June. At the end of this quarter June 30th 2013 we need two figures of membership per church. One which will reflect before roll call; and this is the one to be put on regular statistical report, another, an audited one showing only physically present members. We want to assess the disparity. 
  17. LEMD churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com  for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated.
  18. All communication secretaries/Leaders in all churches to attend the departmental council which will take place on Friday 228/06/13 at Mtendere main church at 8:30hrs without fail.
