  • District Annoucements Sabbath jANUARY 10, 2015

    1. There will be an Adventist Youth executive meeting, for all out-going and in –coming members, on Sunday, 11th January, 2015 starting at exactly 
     10hrs. All are to observe time and be in ceremonial uniform. Agenda will be (i) hand over (ii) time management (ii) unfinished business.

    2. There will also be Adventist Youths enrolment in all Churches this coming Sabbath the 17th of January 2015.

    3. There will be a Dorcas council this coming Wednesday 14/01/15 at Mtendere Main Church at 14:00hrs. All Dorcas workers should attend without fail.

    4. There will be an urgent meeting for all Church Treasurers today Sabbath 10/01/15 at Mtendere Main Church at 14:00hrs.

    5. Today Sabbath 10/01/15 is Health Emphasis day in all Churches

    6. There will be a ZBUC baptism celebration at Heroes Stadium on Sabbath 24/01/15. All churches should attend as this event is about them. 

    7. Preparations are under way for a District council to be held on 25th January 2015 to adopt the District Time management and Budget. Therefore all District 
     Heads of Departments should meet and liaise with the District Evangelism and SSPC on Sunday 18/01/15 at 09hrs at Mtendere Main.

    There will be a Lusaka Conference year end Seminars on December 21, 2014 at Chainama Church from 08:30Hrs to 12:30hrs. Please note that this is a second reminder and to attend are:
      • All Sabbath School Officers for 2015
      • All Personal Ministries Officers for 2015
      • All VOP Officers for 2015
      • All newly baptised members from January to December 2014.

    N.B:  Admin Elders and Elders in Charge for 2015, please see to it that all the above attend without fail.

    The regional meeting for District Evangelism Leaders, PM Leaders (Local Church PM leaders), Elders in Charge of PM, Lay Preachers, Sabbath School Superintendents to meet at Chainama Church and not  Libala Church (as earlier announced) on December 21, 2014 from  08:30 to 12:30Hrs. Come with plans for 2014 (Year of Following up on Evangelism). Note that the two meetings will be combined.

    District Departmental heads are requested to submit time management and budgets for 2015 by December 21, 2014 to either Elder Muvwanga or Elder Mubita

    1. There will be District elections and Pastors appreciation day on December 7, 2014 starting at 08:30Hrs at Mtendere Main. All outgoing and incoming church Officers must attend without fail.
    2. The statistical report for this quarter together  with the Sabbath counting’s from all churches must be submitted on Sabbath 29/11/14 before sunset.
    3. Next Sabbath December 6, 2014 will be stewardship emphasis in all churches.
    4. There will be a Lusaka Conference Music council on Sunday November 30, 2014 at Libala Church starting 09Hrs. All are invited.

  • Sabbath 15th November 2014 Announcements

    Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

     

    1. There will be S.O.P day in all Churches.  Local SOP Leaders will Preach and present Bible study.
    2. The District Pastor is on Leave from November 8th to December 8, 2014. All queries during this period should be directed at the District Secretariat.
    3. The District regrets to announce the death of Elder Patrick Sililo who died on Sunday November 9, 2014 at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital after a short illness and was buried on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at Leopards Hill Memorial Park, Lusaka.
    4. Helen Kaunda SDA Church is thanking the District Pastor, District Leaders, Churches and Members across Lusaka Conference for the Financial, Spiritual and moral support rendered towards the sickness and funeral of Evangelist  Elder Patrick Sililo
    5. There will also be an AY music fellowship on 7/12/14 at Kalingalinga SDA Church starting at 08 – 16:30hrs. All Churches are advised to begin preparations.

    1. All Nominating committees to meet on Sunday November 9, 2014 at Mtendre Main at 08Hours, Observe time. A Church Treasurer to accompany the Committee for Churches that did not include a Treasurer in their Nominating committee.
    1. The annual week of sacrifice (week of prayer) ends on Sabbath 8th November 2014 in all Churches.
    1. The Adventurers Fun day which was scheduled to take place last Sunday 2/11/14 at Amusement Park Was put off due to National Mourning.
    1. There will also be an AY music fellowship on 7/12/14 at Kalingalinga SDA Church starting at 08 – 16:30hrs. All Churches are advised to begin preparations.
    1. There will be Pathfinder and Adventures progressive class examinations on 23/11/14 at Mtendere Main at 09:00hrs. Investure ceremony will be held on 6/12/14. Please make preparations.

     

  • Sabbath 25th October 2014 Announcements

    Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

     

    1. The mass baptisms for all Lusaka crusades takes place at North Mead Secondary School swimming pool today Sabbath 25th October 2014 at 14:00hrs. Please let all Churches and crusade centers prepare transport for all candidates.
    1. The Ibex Hill Community School Grounds and Palabana crusades have come to an end on 25/10/14.
    1. The Adventurers Fun day which was supposed to take place last Sunday at Dream Valley was moved to  Sunday 26/10/14 at Amusement Park. Time still remains 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs. Participation fee has been adjusted downwards to K40.00 per each child.
    1. All local Ambassadors Club Directors and Deputies are invited for a meeting at Mtendere South Church on Sunday 26/10/14 from 09:00hrs – 10:00hrs
    1. The venue for the Ambassador SOP camp has now been changed to Silverspring School. The dates still remain 31st Oct - 1st November 2014. Participation fee has also been reduced from K80.00 to K60.00 per participant.
    1. The AMO rally begins on Sunday 26th October to 1st November 2014. Venue Chinyanga farm near George farm.
    1. All AMO going to the rally to meet on Sabbath 26/10/14 at Hellen Kaunda SDA Church. Time 14:00hrs and please come with your K150.00 participation fee.

     

  • Sabbath 4th October 2014 Announcements

    1. There will be CPC and District Council on Sunday 5/10/14 at Mtendere Main Church starting 08:00hrs and 13:00hrs respectively. All District Heads of departments to ensure all their reports are ready and please observe time.
    1. This is to further remind all churches to support the 4 crusades currently running in the District by inviting non Adventists and attending the meetings. Be further informed that we intend to carry out our first baptisms this coming Sabbath and all sites to ensure candidates are prepared.
    1. There will be Path Finder and Adventures progressive class exams at Mass Media Church on Sunday 5thOctober 2014 at 08hrs. The investure will be held at Hellen Kaunda Church on 8thOctober 2014.
    1. The Ambassador SOP campwhich was scheduled to take place at Kings Highway School from 12 – 14th September 2014 has been moved to 31st Oct - 1st November 2014. Participation fee still remains K80.00 per participant.
    1. This serves to inform you that there will be a Youth Conference Rally which will start on 23rd to 26th October 2014 in Siavonga. Registration fee per delegate is K300 and deadline for payment will be October 13, 2014.
    1. Lusaka Conference Stewardship Department Entrepreneurship workshop which was scheduled take place on Sunday 5/10/14 at Chainama SDA Church has been postponed to a later date to be announced later.
    1. The Lusaka Conference Music Camp meeting scheduled to take place from 5th – 11th October, 2014 at Muluse camp site has been postponed to 19 – 25th October 2014. Each participant should pay K70 camp fee and all singing groups are eligible to attend since no auditions will be conducted. Please submit the list of all singing groups and individuals who plan to attend, for better planning purposes.
    1. All Dorcas to meet on Sunday 5th October 2014 at Lusaka Central Church at 09:00hrs.
    1. There will be AMO Council on Sunday 5th October, 2014 at 09:00hrsat Libala Church. In addition all AMO going for the rally on 26/10/14 must pay K150 each and begin registering now.

  • Sabbath 27th September 2014 Announcements

    Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

    1. The Lusaka Conference Personal Ministries Director wishes to remind all churches that we are in the period of crusades and therefore let us learn to move together as a united front in the unity of spirit and purpose. Let there be no programs in our churches such as building promotions, rallies etc. every program from now to November should be evangelistic in nature such as; community service guest days that lead to Baptism, weeks of prayer that lead to baptism and crusades. Let each church and company do their crusades.
    1. The number of sites for crusades in the District has increased from 3 – 4 and all starting at the same time as shown below.
    • (i) Kalingalinga Primary School Grounds starting tomorrow Sunday 28th September – 18th October 2014. Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Executive (Pass E. Shimunzhila, Pass G. Naini & Pastor S. Chabala).
    • (ii)Mahathi Maghandi Primary School Grounds starting tomorrow 28th September to 11th October 2014. Main Speaker: Elder Jorice Dimingo from Lusaka Conference Youth Wing.
    • (iii)  Ibex Hill Community School grounds starting tomorrow Sunday 28th – 25th October 2014 (4weeks). Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Directors (Pastors H. Mulendema Senior, F.Shangala, H. Hamweene and M. Chibala)
    • (iv) Valley Of Hope Academy by Dorcas Federation & District Evangelism. Main Speaker will be Evangelist Kelvin Chibomba from Avondale SDA. Second Speaker Evangelist S. Chiwasa and third Speaker will be Evangelist P. Sililo.

    All town churches beginning from Valley View company in the far east up to Mass Media at the furthest on the western part have been assigned to a particular crusade. Elders and PM Leaders ensure that the church members go flat out in supporting these evangelistic meetings.

    1. All Elders, PM Leaders and crusade committees for the Ibex Hill Community School crusade (Mtendere South, Mount Olives, Mount Nebo and Chitukuko ) to meet at Chitukuko SDA Church today Sabbath 27/09/14 at 14:00hrs without fail.
    1. The CPC and District Council which were scheduled to take place tomorrow Sunday 28th of September 2014 have been moved to Sunday 5th October 2014 in order to allow smooth commencement of the 4 crusades that are starting tomorrow Sunday 28/09/14. We hope and believe that all Churches have handed in all their quarter ending reports to Mtendere Main Janitor. All District Departmental Heads must ensure that their quarter ending reports are ready by Monday 29/09/14 and submit them to the District Evangelism Leader Elder Patrick Sililo by this very date.
    1. There will be Path Finder and Adventures progressive class exams at Mass Media Church on Sunday 5th October 2014 at 08hrs. The investure will be held at Hellen Kaunda Church on 8th October 2014.

    1. Lusaka Conference Stewardship Department will be conducting an Entrepreneurship program on Sunday 5/10/14 at Chainama SDA Church starting at 09:00hrs. To attend are both Church members and non Church members.

    9. There will be a meeting for all the professional teachers/Lectures on Sunday, 28th September, at Libala SDA Church from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs. (one of the Agenda is to choose the Lusaka Conference Executive Committees in their categories )

    10. This is to remind all churches and musicians that the Lusaka Conference Music Campmeeting will take place from 5th – 11th October, 2014 at Muluse camp site. Each participant should pay K70 camp fee and the initial deadline passed, but a grace period up to 30th September is now available.

    11. The Lusaka Conference Executive Secretary is reminding all churches that every official communication from a recognized local church in Lusaka Conference MUST be signed by at least two local Church Administrators. This includes but not limited to the following;

     

    (i)                 Service request

    (ii)               Notice of church action on a member’s status

    (iii)             Introductory letter

    (iv)             Banns of marriage

    Please note that wherever practicable and provided for, the District/Church Pastor should sign as well.

    1. The District will be running three (03) crusades beginning this September at the following sites;
    • (i)   Kalingalinga Primary School Grounds which has now been moved forward to 28th September – 18th October 2014. Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Executive (Pas E. Shimunzhila, Pass G. Naini & Pastor S. Chabala). Sponsors: Lusaka Conference & District Evangelism
    • (ii)  Mahathi Maghandi Primary School Grounds from 28th September to 18th October 2014. Main Speaker: Elder Jorice Dimingo from Lusaka Conference Youth Wing. Conference sponsored.
    • (iii) Ibex Hill Community School grounds 28th – 18th October 2014. Main Speaker to be announced during the course of the week while the other speakers are   Evangelist  S. Chiwasa & Evangelist Patrick Sililo. Sponsors are Dorcas Federation & District Evangelism.

                 All churches are therefore urged to support these evangelistic programs.

    1. The CPC and District Council will take place on the 28th of September 2014 and all the Churches should submit all their quarter ending reports by this coming Wednesday 24/09/14 at Mtendere Main Church to allow the District Leaders consolidate theirs..
    1. Lusaka East Mission District Singers will be going to Kafue Mission District for an Inter District choir rotation taking place today.
    1. There will be Pathfinder and Adventures progressive class exams at Mass Media Church on Sunday 5th October 2014 at 08hrs. The investure will be held at Hellen Kaunda Church on 8th October 2014.
    1. All the Youths should meet on Sunday 21/09/14 at Mahathi Maghandi Primary School Grounds at 08:00hrs to prepare the ground for the upcoming crusade.
    1. The Ambassador SOP camp which was scheduled to take place at Kings Highway School from 12 – 14th September 2014 has been moved to 31st Oct - 1st November 2014. Participation fee still remains K80.00 per participant.
    1. This serves to inform you that there will be a Youth Conference Rally which will start on 24th to 26th October 2014.

    10. There will be a publishing training on 21st September 2014 at Lusaka Central Church for all Literature Evangelists. Please remember to carry packed lunch. Time 09 – 16hrs.

    11. Chainama SDA Church will run an open clinic or health checkups on Sunday 5/10/14 at the church premises starting at 08:00hrs. The check up will be open to the general public.

    12. The Lusaka Conference Executive Secretary has returned the CMS slips that he had collected from Churches and is asking all Church Clerks to do the entries on the templates now that all town Churches have trained CMS Coordinators. At the same time the process of collecting and updating CMS data for new members and those who did not submit should also continue.     Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

    1. The Pathfinder week of prayer comes to an end on Sabbath 13th September 2014, with a Pathfinder program in all Churches.
    2. The District will be running three (03) crusades beginning this September at the following sites;
    •  (i)   Kalingalinga Primary School Grounds 21st September – 10th October 2014. Main Speakers are Lusaka Conference Executive (Pas E. Shimunzhila, Pass G. Naini & Eld I. Kaputo). Sponsors: Lusaka Conference & District Evangelism
    • (ii)     Mahathi Maghandi Primary School Grounds from 27th September to 18th October 2014. Main Speaker: Elder Jorice Dimingo from Lusaka Conference Youth Wing. Conference sponsored.
    • (iii)       Ibex Hill Community School grounds 27th – 18th October 2014. Speakers are Evangelist P. Sililo, Evangelist S. Chiwasa & Evangelist S. Mutakwa. Sponsors are Dorcas Federation & District Evangelism.

             All churches are therefore urged to support these evangelistic programs.

          3.   There will be Zone 1A Dorcas fair on 14th September 2014. Venue will be Nakatindi Grounds at Civic Centre. Time 08 - 13hrs                          and all Dorcas to prepare for this.

    1. There will also be a Federation Dorcas council on Wednesday 17th of September 2014, at Mtendere Main Church. Time 14:00hrs. All Dorcas workers to attend.
    1. There will be an inter district choir rotation with Kafue Mission District next Sabbath 20/09/14 (Lusaka East will go to Kafue). See the attached musical program which shows where each singing group will be going and please let the Church Music Directors ensure that each singing group gets in touch with those churches on the cell numbers that have been provided.

    12. Chitukuko Church Harvesters Choir Reunion/Building promotion which was scheduled to be held last Sabbath 06/09/14 was shifted to 4/10/14 and all are invited to attend and contribute towards building.

    Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

    1. There will be a Pathfinder week of prayer beginning on 7th to 13th September 2014, the Theme is Stand, and the theme song is Stand up for Jesus.
    2. The District Executive (Pastor’s office) would like to meet the District Youth Executive on Sabbath 6/09/14 at Hellen Kaunda SDA Church at 17:30hrs.
    3. The Lusaka East Mission District AMO Council will take place on Sunday 7th September 2014 at Mtendere Main SDA Church. Time 14:00hrs.
    4. Thre will be a Lusaka Conference Youth Crusade Committee meeting on Sunday the 7th of September 2014 at Mtendere Main SDA Church. Time 09:00hrs. All main committee and subcommittee must attend without fail.
    5. The District has assigned Adventist Youth promoters to all Churches in connection with the SOP Ambassador Camp, please Elders welcome them.

The Pastor’s office and Mtendere Main Church Leadership would like to thank all Churches and individuals who took part in offering financial and spiritual support to the Chembo family during the funeral of Elder Fred Chembo who was a serving Elder of Mtendere Main Church and also serving as District Auditor.  He died in a fatal road accident on 25th of August 2014 and was put to rest on 28th August 2014. May we continue to remember the children in our prayers.

    Churches are being reminded make adequate preparations for the forthcoming camp meeting.

    The ZBUC will hold the first Religious Liberty Convention from 10 - 13th September, 2014 at Government Complex in Lusaka. To attend are: (1) all local Religious Liberty
    Leaders (each church to sponsor at least one Leader). (2) Adventist members of parliament (3) Adventist lawyers. (4) Other denominational Leaders (5) all other 
    church members interested. Participation fees are (1) K2, 350.00 for single occupancy. (2) K1, 660.00 for shared accommodation. Note that the above fees cover 
    food, accommodation and materials. Kindly register with Lusaka conference secretariat and submit your participation fees with the conference Cashier. The deadline for 
    paying participation fee is 14th August 2014.

    There will be an Ephaphras (Prayer Band) seminar at Mtendere Main Church on Sunday 17th August 2014 starting at 09:00hrs. To attend are all local Church Ephaphras or 
    Prayer Band Leaders, all local church prayer band members and all Elders.

    There will be a youth missionary camp & crusade at Kyindu from 8-17thAugust 2014, all volunteers to register with the youth secretary stating today. All Volunteers to 
    the Missionary Camp to attend are requested to attend the Master Guide Seminar at Silverspring on August 3rd at 09Hrs in Uniform.

    There will be a Youths end of year camp for the district in December. Please start preparing.

    1. Sabbath 28/06/14 marks the end of the Stewardship month of emphasis programme.
    1. There will be a CPC and District Council on Sunday the 29th of June 2014 at Mtendere Main Church. Time 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs respectively. Elders please ensure that all members of the District Council attend without fail. (Church officers)
    1. There will be a Lusaka conference Youth congress at Silverest School starting on 27th June – 1st July, 2014. Registration fee has now been reduced to K50 and deadline for payments has now been moved to 29th of June 2014. Please contact the District Youth Secretariat for more details.
    1. There will also be a pathfinder camp fire at Riverside in Kafue on Saturday 5th July, 2014. Participation fee is K40 per person.
    1. There will also be Adventurer and Pathfinder progressive exams at Mtendere Main on Monday 7th July not Thursday, 3rd July as earlier announced.

Mass Media SDA Church will be conducting an outside Sabbath worship program on 5th July 2014 during Re-union/building promotion day.  Former and current members from all over the country will come, therefore, you are all invited to come and worship with us. Music will be provided by the Loud Cry Singers and many others.     Devotion

    The meeting opened with song number 163 in the local hymns, and a prayer from Elder C. Sibalwa of Chitukuko Church at 15:05 hours. The pulpit manager was Elder F. Chembo and the devotion was given by Elder W. Lukata both of Mtendere Main Church.

    The title of the devotion was “The Test of Faith” and the presenter stressed the fact that Abraham was tested by God to offer his only son Isaac.

    At this point, the house went into a season of prayers which were offered by Sr A. Fulawu of Palabana and Elder J.M Mwila of Mass Media respectively.

    Matters Arising

    The 29th December, 2013 Minutes

    A member queried whether the Elder in charge of the camp meeting had gotten the files from the previous chairman. It was explained that the Elder in charge was not in the council to answer to the query.

    P.M Council Recommendations

    (i)  A summarised version of the departmental reports was presented and the council approved it.

    (ii) The District sewing machines which were obsolete were disposed off through Sister Florence Banda.

    (iii)  The council approved the change of dates for Adventist Missionary camp from 9th – 18th  May to       7th - 17th August 2014.

    (iv) The council approved the holding of a local Adventist Music seminar for local Adventist Youth Directors on 8th May 2014 at Hellen Kaunda Church.

    Financial Report. (Income & Expenditure)

    The report was presented and members wanted to find out why it was not audited. The Treasurer explained that, since it was simply an income and expenditure report, the council therefore could still debate and approve it. After some discussion the house approved the report.

    The Treasurer requested Churches to be submitting yellow sheets to his office.

    Mail Bag.

    • The council approved the name of brother Mangambwa of Mtendere Main to be the Secretary of Ephaphras department while the replacement of the current Leader who was not effective was referred back to the department to recommend a name.
    • It was announced that Sister Margret Zulu of Kalingalinga was the new Lusaka Conference Publishing Leader in charge of Lusaka East Mission and Sister Brenda Mwape was the new Secretary for the same district.
    • It was announced that the Adventist Youth Federation was in the process of fundraising for the sponsorship of the two projects it wished to engage in. The projects were;

    (i) A Chicken raring project in Palabana

    (ii) A uniform project meant to be used to supply current and correct uniform to our members at a minimal profit.

    • Another announcement was that the Youth Federation was now offering free tuitions for grades 10, 11 and 12 at Mtendere South SDA Church on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16 – 17:45hours and on Sundays from 08:00hrs.
    • It was announced that Mtendere Main Church was to host a Rusangu sponsored crusade at Mahati Maghandi Primary School grounds from 27th April – 17th May 2014. The speakers were announced as follows:

    (i) Pastor Hachamba from Central Zambia Conference as the First Speaker.

    (ii) 10 Student Pastors from Rusangu University as co- Speakers.

    • All Churches were requested to submit names and cell numbers for all the Children Ministries Leaders. It was further announced that the VBS Lessons for the holiday were ready and leaders were to see Elder Mtetesha.                                                                                                                   

    The meeting was adjourned at 16:50 hours with a song titled “Hark the voice of Jesus calling” and a prayer from Elder Thomas Kanyama of Mount Olives Company.

    1. Sabbath 21/06/14 will be Nurture and reclaiming the lost program in all Churches. The Conference has send speakers from Lusaka South Mission District while those from Lusaka East have been sent to Lusaka South. (Find attached the lists for the speakers). The Stewardship program will resume and end next Sabbath.
    2. All the District Heads of Departments are urged to prepare their reports after Sunday 22/06/14 in order to include reports from Churches which did not have their Church boards and business meetings on Sunday 8th June 2014 but are having them on 22nd June 2014.

    1. The Federation Youth President and his team of over 12 youths are in Rufunsa Mission District conducting a crusade which began on 2nd to 21st June 2014. Please let us pray for the success of this program.
    1. The district music department will be conducting camp meeting music audition on Sunday 8/06/14 at Chitukuko SDA Church starting at 13.00hrs. All who are participating to come in uniform and observe time.
    1. There will be a district Children Ministries council meeting on Sunday 8/06/14 at Mtendere Main SDA Church starting at 08:00hrs. To attend are all local children ministries leaders, Local VBS, Pathfinder and Adventurer Leaders both local and district and all local Church Sabbath School Superintendents.
    1. There will be a Lusaka conference Youth congress at Silverest School starting on 27th June – 1st July, 2014. Registration fee is K100 and deadline closes on 20th of June. Please contact the district Youth Secretariat for more details.
    1. There will be a Pathfinder hiking on 22nd June 2014 in Palabana and a Master Guide retreat from Friday 11th – 13thJuly, 2014. All master guides and pathfinders are advised to see their respective leaders for fees and more details.
    1. There will also be a pathfinder camp fire at Riverside in Kafue on Saturday 5th July, 2014. Participation fee is K40 per person.
    1. There will also be Adventurer and Pathfinder progressive exams at Mtendere Main on Thursday, 3rd July and honor exams on Sunday, 13th July, 2014. Please prepare in advance.
    1. There will be a Health Ministries Retreat on Sun 15th June, 2014 in the Lusaka Central Church Hall from 9:00hrs - 14:00hrs. All Local Church/ District Health Leaders to attend and those who will need to eat during and after the meeting to carry their own food.

    1. There will be a Church/Company Clerk briefing by LC Executive Secretary Pastor G. Naini on Sunday 25th May 2014 at Mtendere Main Church starting 09:00hrs - 09:30hrs. All Church and Company Clerks to attend without fail. Let them come along with filled in Get Counted Registration Forms. These forms have already been provided to Church Clerks and they should ensure that all Church members should fill them in today if they haven’t yet. 

    2. There will be a teachers convention in Livingstone from 12th – 16th August 2014. As such all Adventist teachers in Lusaka Conference are called to attend an important meeting at Libala Church on the 1st of June starting at 09:00hrs – 13:00hrs.

    3.     1. The Rusangu University sponsored crusade comes to an end on Sabbath 17th May 2014 with baptism at Mtendere Main Church. Therefore all Churches with candidates to be baptized should bring their candidates to the crusade site at Mahati Maghandi school Grounds in the morning and they should carry packed lunch. At least an elder, Church Clerk, Deacons and Deaconesses should accompany them.

    2. The Lusaka East Mission District Adventist Youths will conduct a crusade in Rufunsa Mission District from 1st – 21st June 2014.

    1. The Lusaka Conference Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Elder Kaputo will be conducting a seminar on Sabbath 3rd May 2014 at Kalingalinga SDA Church. To attend are all local Church Treasures, local Church Auditors, District Auditors and Elders in charge. All Church & Company Treasures should worship at Kalingalinga Church beginning in the morning as Elder Kaputo would like to meet them one by one before 14:00hrs. Lunch will be provided for Treasurers while Auditors and Elders in charge should be by Kalingalinga by 14:00hrs. Note: that the CFO has finished auditing and all Treasures to pick their books from Mtendere Main. 

    2. The Lusaka Conference Personal Ministries Director is reminding all churches and Companies that we have entered the second phase of our Evangelism Road Map which started from 27th April – 10th May. This means that all churches and Companies must be running evangelist campaigns which must end with a mass baptism on 10th May 2014 at Mtendere Main and VOP graduations in all Churches. Further all churches are reminded to collect their VOP lessons from LEMD VOP Leader.

    1. There is a big Sabbath at Government Complex Building today 26th April 2014 from 0800hrs to 16hrs.To attend are all the Pastors, steering and sub committee members for Impact Lusaka with Christ Conference, all Admin Elders, Literature Evangelists and the following singing groups which were chosen to sing at this very conference which begins tomorrow at government printers; (i) Joy Bells of Helen Kaunda (ii) Kings Royal Cords of Kalingalinga and (iii) Beulah Land of Mtendere Main. The choirs must be in uniform and all those attending should carry packed lunch. Kindly take note that we shall have a normal worship service i.e. sabbath school and main service.

The official opening of the Impact Lusaka with Christ Conference will take place on Sunday 27th April 2014.  This will be preceded with a match past at 13:30 hours.  All the AMO men, dorcas workers, and the youths must attend in their uniforms, steering and subcommittee members must also attend.  Assembly point will be Lusaka Central SDA Church at 13:00hour

  • DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR APRIL 2014 EVENTS

    1. The Pathfinder Camporee began last Sunday 13th April and its going on up to 20th April, 2014 in Livingstone at LBES College. Note: Due to this Camporee the 
     Pathfinder skills camp scheduled to take place on 27th April 2014 at Kyindu Primary School in Palabana has been put off. 

    2. All speakers for the past Youth week of prayer are requested without fail to submit the week of prayer reports to the Adventist youth Federation Secretary by 
     Sunday the 20th April 2014.

    3. This is to notify all Church Treasurers , Company Treasurers and Admin Elders that the Lusaka Conference Auditing Department will be auditing your churches and 
     companies between 21st April to 4th May 2014. We have proposed Monday 21st April as a day when all documents and books needed for auditing should be submitted
     in person to us at Mtendere Main Church and for interviews to enable us acquaint ourselves with the treasury work in your churches. This should be between 09:00hrs 
     and 13:00hrs.The documents required are tabulated in the memo that has been given to all company an church treasurers.

    4. The Elder's workshop which was scheduled to take place on Monday 21st April 2014 according to the Pastor's itinerary has been postphoned to a later date to be

    1.      There will be a zone camp meeting council tomorrow Sunday 16th March 2014 at Muluse starting at 09:00hrs. To attend are, all camp meeting chairpersons, company Leaders, Elders in Charge, Administrative Elders and all Zone Camp meeting council members. Please ensure that you attend this important meeting which is the first one this year and may involve elections.

    1. There will be the 1st Lusaka Conference seminar B at Chainama SDA Church tomorrow Sunday 12/01/14 starting at 09:00hrs to 15hrs. To attend are all Sabbath School Officers and Sabbath School teachers, all Personal Ministries leaders, all VOP coordinators and elders in charge. Please carry packed lunch. Please elders ensure that the above mentioned members attend the meeting.

    2.      This serves to remind all Church members to be attending vespers in their areas of residence on Wednesdays and at Church every Friday evening. Personal Ministries Leaders and Elders in charge should ensure the revamping of these vespers in all sections that had stopped.

    1. All Churches who wish to carryout church officers evaluation (officers ‘performance) or to add or make replacement for 2014 to please inform the District Secretariat before conducting such a program.

     

    1. There will be organization of the following branches into  companies;

    (i)               Mtendere Main branch based at Mtendere Primary School on Sabbath 21/12/13 starting at 14:00hrs.

    (ii)             Mtendere East branch based at Ibex Hill Community School on Sunday 22/12/13 starting from 08:00hrs  to 12:00hrs

    (iii)           Chitukuko branch based at Kitana Private School on Sunday 22/12/13 starting at 14:00hrs.

    (iv)           Palabana branch based at Kyundu on Wednesday 25/12/13 starting at 09:00hrs. NOTE: Elders for the three churches whose branches will be organized into companies to ensure the availability of singing groups. Members from other churches in the District are also welcome to witness the occasion.

    1. All those who were baptised last year and this year who do not have Bibles including other Church members who can not afford to buy their own Bibles should submit their names and phone numbers to the pastor through their Elders today Sabbath 23/11/13 by 17hrs. Please be reminded that today is the deadline and all the churches which won't submitt by today will loose out. Collect you Great Hope books on Monday 25/11/13 at 17hrs


    2. All Churches who wish to carryout church officers evaluation (officers ‘performance) or to add or make replacement for 2014 to please inform the District Secretariat before conducting such a program.

     3.  There will be a VOP graduation ceremony today Sabbath 23/11/13 at Mtenere Main to be graced by Pastor Siamaundu and the VOP team from the Union Office. All churches that have candidates to support this program by sending their candidates for graduation to Mtendere Main accompanied by Representatives.

    4.  The AMO outing to Kalimba Farm which was scheduled to take place on 24th November 2013 has now been moved to 15th December 2013 due to a crash with the Conference program. The participation fee of K60.00 and venue remain the same.

    5.  All Adventist Youth Leaders are requested to meet the Youth President at Hellen Kaunda Church plot on Sunday the 24th of November 2013 at 10.00hrs and come along with all camp registration forms. Please observe time.

However if there are still some who haven’t, to please do so by tomorrow Sunday 10th November 2013 to either Elder A. Makasalo, Elder P Sililo or Elder A.C Ntomba.

     

    1. The annual week of sacrifice which began last Sunday comes to an end today.

     

    1. There will be an AMO outing to Kalimba Farm on 24th November 2013. Each participant to pay K60.00. All AMO members are urged to pay and go for socialization.

     

    1. The District Secretariat together with Evangelism will soon visit all Churches that have branches to arrange for programs to turn the Branches into Companies.

    2. The dead line for Camp fee registration has past and therefore AY Leaders are being asked to return the Registers to the District AY Executive tomorrow Sunday at Mass Media.

    3. There will be a big Pathfinder Class tomorrow Sunday at Mtendere Main from 08 to 15Hrs. All pathfinders to attend with their respective Directors.

    4. There will be Free Driving lessons tomorrow Sunday at Mtendere Main at 09Hrs.

    5. There will be an annual week of sacrifice week of prayer in all Churches starting tomorrow Sunday 3rd November 2013. The names of the speakers will be communicated to you by today Sabbath.

    6. There will be a Children’s Ministries meeting today Sabbath 2nd November 2013 at Mtendere Main. Time 16:00hrs. To attend are all children Ministries Leaders and their Elders in charge.

    10. Churches should continue publicizing the Pathfinder Camporee which will be held in Livingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). All the Leaders and Pathfinders should begin now to plan to attend without fail. Be advised that our young people in Zambia do not need to pay in US Dollars but kwacha. The fixed registration fee is K435.00. Please take note of the details that were attached to last week’s announcements; and the deadlines specified. For those wishing to have their registration deducted from the office, kindly pass through our Departmental office and log into the 2014 SID Camporee registration fee deduction authorization sheet.

     11.  There will be an end of year youth camp from 22nd - 29th December 2013 to be held in Livingstone. Churches are urged to promote this event and at least sponsor 2 youths. Participation fee is K320.00 which includes transport, food, accommodation and registration.

     

    12. There will be a Women Ministries seminar on Entrepreneurship on 3rd November 2013. The Women Ministries Leader and four other members from our District should attend.  The details of the participants should be submitted to Mrs. Mutumba on 0978956138 at Lusaka Conference offices as soon as  possible
